Youth Education and Employment Specialist

Job Summary: This team member coordinates youth educational enrichment & out-of-school programs.  S/he also facilitates youth career exploration, teen workforce development courses and internship placement.  This is a seasonal position with full time hours during the summer months. 

 Qualifications: Qualified candidates possess: any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate Degree and a minimum of three years relevant work experience with economically disadvantaged clients in an employment training or job development role; knowledge of professional techniques of vocational rehabilitation, interviewing techniques, community resources and job opportunities; knowledge of motivation techniques and human behavior; knowledge of factors that contribute to underemployment and unemployment; excellent organizational, follow-through and attention-to-detail skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work in stressful situations; and computer literacy, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

Job Summary: This team member performs various human resource support duties i.e., database maintenance, applicant tracking, employment verification, etc.  S/he also fosters effective communication between internal and external clients; as well as hosts corporate and departmental visitors and callers.

 

 

Qualifications: Qualified candidates possess: any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate Degree in Human Resources or Business and a minimum of three years relevant work experience; basic knowledge and understanding of human resource functions; knowledge and understanding of basic reporting and recordkeeping requirements; excellent organizational, follow-through and attention-to-detail skills; excellent communication and public relations abilities; ability to assist and support others; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work in stressful situations; and computer literacy, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

Job Summary: This team member will be responsible for: determining client eligibility for energy assistance programs; referring clients to other agencies or community resources; and processing applications for energy assistance benefits.

 

Qualifications: Qualified candidates possess: Two years of experience in working in community service programs; working knowledge of agency and energy industries bill payment policies and the Public Service Commission’s Cold Weather Rules with the ability to interpret and present that information to clients; some knowledge of available community resources; knowledge of office procedures, interviewing techniques; solid decision-making ability; superior people/ relationship-building skills; excellent organizational, follow-through and attention-to-detail skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work in stressful situations; computer literacy, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates possess: Any combination of education and/or experience equivalent Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Workforce Development, Education or other related discipline;  a minimum of five years experience working in job seeker services or another employment related field; a minimum of three years experience delivering services to marginalized communities; a working knowledge of educational and employment assessment tools; excellent organizational, follow-through and attention-to-detail skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work in stressful situations; computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and the internet.
